The beautiful colours that bring trees to life in autumn are breathtaking—but fleeting.

Here is a very simple way to preserve the autumn colours all year round and add some sparkle to your day at the same time!

You Will Need:

  • leaves
  • Mod Podge
  • paintbrush
  • glitter
  • wax paper
  • reusable sticky tack (optional)

Instructions:

1. Take a basket and head outside to collect some colourful leaves.

2. Lay the leaves on a sheet of wax paper (back side up) and gently brush a coat of Mod Podge over each leaf. Leave to dry for about an hour or so.

3. Flip the leaves over and brush the front of each leaf with Mod Podge.

4. Now for our favorite part, the glitter!

While the Mod Podge is still wet, shake or sprinkle glitter onto each leaf.

5. Allow your leaves to dry overnight.

Voilà! Gorgeous, colourful, magical looking leaves!

A fun and easy way to use these leaves is to place reusable sticky tack on the back of each leaf and stick the leaves wherever you want!

The Mod Podge makes the leaves strong and preserves their colours for years. The design possibilities are endless! You could create a leaf mandala, stick leaves up around family photos, place them on windows or up on the fridge. So many beautiful ways to keep that autumn beauty alive around you.

Enjoy the fall colours colors!
