We love slime. It's perfect for all kinds of sensory play. We just used a batch of turquoise sparkle slime for a frog pond sensory play kit!
You Will Need:
- 1 bottle of clear school glue
- hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon of Borax
- food colouring
- glitter
Instructions
1. Empty the entire bottle of clear glue into a measuring cup. Fill the bottle up with hot water, give it a good shake and add the water to the glue.
2. Add in a few drops of food colouring and a couple of shakes of glitter before mixing everything together.
3. In a separate measuring cup, add a 1/2 cup of hot water and a 1/2 teaspoon of Borax and stir well.
4. Now for the fun part—mix the two concoctions together and watch the magic happen!
Don’t go crazy here—add the Borax solution in, just a little at a time, to get the exact slime consistency you’re looking for.
For a slime with plenty of stretch but no messy stickiness, we almost always use just half of the Borax solution (a 1/4 cup), but you can use a little more or a little less if you like.

5. Stir! As you stir, you’ll notice the mixture starting to glob together in a mass. Continue stirring until most of the liquid in the bottom of the bowl has disappeared and then give the slime a good knead.
The end result should be a beautifully stretchy and translucent slime that is just begging to be played with!
