Nature Craft: DIY Flower Petal Butterflies

Daisy loves to make nature crafts, and here is how to make her flower petal art! Click on the image below for a printable PDF of this project, or scroll down for the instructions.

Step 1

Head out on a nature walk and collect some flowers and leaves. This craft works best if the flowers are pressed. Place some flowers and leaves flat between two sheets of paper and two heavy books. Leave them for a few days until they're dry and pressed flat.

Step 2

Gather some paper and glue. Imagine what your butterfly will look like.

Step 3

On a sheet of paper, arrange your flower petals and leaves into the butterfly's wings, the body and the antennae. Glue them to the paper. You can add details with paint, felt pens or crayons. Flower petal art makes wonderful birthday or thank you cards!

Remember there is no right or wrong way to make a nature craft, so have fun!
