Nature Craft: DIY Shadow Art

Daisy loves to make nature crafts, and here is how to make her shadow art! Click on the image below for a printable PDF of this project, or scroll down for the instructions.

Step 1

Next time you're out for a nature walk, collect some interesting shapes like a pinecone, a flower or a branch. You can also make shadow art with small objects you find at home, like blocks or an animal figurine.

Step 2

On a sunny day, place your objects next to a piece of paper. Notice how the objects cast a shadow on the paper. Use a pencil and trace the outline of the shadow.

Step 3

Use coloured pencils or paints to colour your shadow art. Choose colours that make you feel happy!

Remember there is no right or wrong way to make a nature craft, so have fun!
