Styrofoam Stamps For Rosh Hashanah

Transform styrofoam take-out containers and plates into DIY stamps.

We made a simple set of stamps to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, but you can create stamps for any occasion!

You Will Need:

• thick styrofoam take-out containers or plates (washed and dried, if you're reusing)
• scissors
• dull pencil
• paint
• paint brushes or paint rollers
• paper, cardstock or contruction paper

Instructions:

1. Cut the styrofoam container or plate into pieces. Make the pieces as small or as large as you'd like—these will become your stamps. 

2. Use a dull pencil to draw on picture on each piece of stryofoam. Press hard so the lines are indented in the styrofoam (but not so hard that you go all the way through the styrofoam).

You can draw anything you like! For Rosh Hashanah, we drew apples, a bee and a fish.

3. Cover each stamp with a thin layer of paint. 

4. Flip each stamp over and place on a piece of paper, cardstock or contruction paper. Rub the back of the stamp to transfer the paint to the paper.

5. Ta da! Customized homemade stamps you can use for cards, decorations, wrapping paper or anything else you can imagine.
