The beautiful fresh faces of wildflowers are popping up everywhere, so we were inspired to create a simple and sweet flower activity.

Here is a quick and easy way to create a wildflower head wreath. This is a great outdoor activity for all ages and takes no supplies other than wildflowers!

How To Make It:

1. Head outside and gather up an assortment of wildflowers. Look for flower stems that are flexible for bending.

A bunch of wild flowers.

2. After you have collected all your flowers, break the stems to be relatively the same length.

3. To create the wreath, take two of your flowers and loop the first stem around the second stem. Tighten and bring the stems together. Take another flower and loop the second stem around third stem. Tighten and bring stems together.

A number of wildflowers woven together.

Continue to add more flowers in the same way until you have the length you desire.

A string of wildflowers, woven together.

4. To close your wreath, wrap (or braid) the two ends together until it holds its form. You can also wrap a piece of vine or ivy around the whole wreath upon completion to make it more secure.

There you have it! A whimsical and wonderful wildflower crown.
