Kenora, Ont., closes only homeless shelter in midst of drug crisis

Opioids and crystal meth have hit the population of Kenora, Ont., hard. TVO reporter Jon Thompson joins us from Kenora to explain why local authorities have decided to temporarily close the citys only homeless shelter in the midst of a drug crisis.

Kenora, Ont.,a small city in the province's northwest, is in the midst of a drug crisis. In an attempt to address the situation, local authoritieshavetemporarily shut down the only homeless shelter in the area. Some viewit as a positive move, whileothers see Nimbyism.
