The Current's MMIW public forum in Winnipeg was on Nov. 30.
As part of The Current's ongoing coverage of the missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada, Anna Maria Tremonti and team headed to Winnipeg to hosta forum exploring the root causes of this national issue.

The forum, and live taping, tookplaceat the Eckhardt Gramatt Hall at the University of Winnipeg on Nov. 30 andwill be broadcast on CBC Radio OneonWednesday, Dec. 7.

Thefive-minute virtual reality documentaryabout the Highway of Tears was also available to be viewed.

This event is part of a series of public forumsThe Currentis hostingacross the country to explore the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women.
