On the evening of February9, Rosanna Deerchildwas MCing an event at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, when she found outthat Gerald Stanley, a farmer from Saskatchewan, was found not guilty in the death of Colten Boushie, a First Nation man from Red Pheasant Cree Nation. She took to the stage and shared the news with the audience.
