INDUSTRY LEADER MICHELE MCENERY APPOINTED DIRECTOR, CBC/RADIO-CANADA MULTICULTURAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Jean Mongeau, director of sales and marketing for Radio-Canada, and Alan Dark, executive director of CBC Media Sales, are pleased to announce the appointment of Michele McEnery to the new position of Director, CBC/Radio-Canada Multicultural Business Development.

Ms. McEnery brings to the CBC/Radio Canada sales teams more than 25 years of experience in media and television advertising, including at CTV, Canwest Global and TVA. Before her appointment to CBC/Radio Canada, she was managing director of QMI Sales, responsible for national sales for Sun Media, Canoe, the TVA Network and TVA Publications.

"Michele's appointment is big step towards realizing CBC/Radio-Canada's over-arching business development strategy," said Alan Dark. "We offer advertisers nationwide access to an audience and a programming line-up that are unrivalled in the country--and in both official languages."

"No other media group in the country matches the integrated, multi-platform and multicultural offering that CBC/Radio-Canada can make to advertisers," said Jean Mongeau. "With her extensive experience and deep knowledge of the needs of Canada's advertisers, Michele is the perfect executive to move our strategy forward."

Ms. McEnery's appointment began on September 13, 2010.
