Basketball fans across the country came together Sunday in hopes of watching their Toronto Raptors make history by advancing to the Eastern Conference finals.

Minister for Sport Carla Qualtrough and Olympian Mo Ahmed were both standing strong with Canada's lone NBA team hoping for a big win.

But a very famous fan seemed to be missing from the stands forthe most important game of the season.

The home team seemed steady through the first half, but third-quarter meltdowns had kind of become a thing in the playoffs for the Raptors. Still, with theSuperfan dancing and P.K.Subban in the building, fans were feeling confident.

When it finally seemed time to call Chuck Swirsky to bring out the salami and cheese, Stacy Wright got a late Mother's Day present.

The Raptors made history by defeating the Miami heat by 27 points and #WeTheNorth could not be happier.

The 6ix God may have missed the historic Game 7, but he made sure to send the North side some love.

Much to the dismay of many Americans, it looks like the LeBron/Heat playoff throw down will be on hold for another year.
