Canadians win 5 medals at World Cup canoe-kayak in Czech Republic

Katie Vincent added her second medal in as many days, capturing C2 500 metre gold with teammate Nadya Crossman-Serb, while kayaker Adam van Koerverden took bronze in the K1 500m in Racice, Czech Republic on Sunday.

Oakville, Ontario native Adam van Koeverden finished third on Sunday in the men's K1 500m final at an ICF World Cup event in the Czech Republic with a time of 1:39.340.

Canada will bring home five medals from the second World Cup canoe-kayak event of the season in Racice, Czech Republic this weekend.

Katie Vincent added her secondmedal in as many days, capturing C2 500metre gold with teammate Nadya Crossman-Serb.

The paircompleted the final in a time of two minutes, 03.210 seconds more than two seconds faster than their nearest competition.

Vincent won silver in the women's C1 200m on Saturday.

Adam Van Koeverden's return to World Cup action netted the Rio Olympic-bound kayaker a bronze medal in theK1500m. Histime of one minute,39.340 seconds in the final, was just 1.711seconds behind gold medal-winnerRenHoltenPoulsenof Denmark.
