The Olympics start on Thursday, and along with them come Olympic-themed ads. The commercials are always fun to watch, even if they can be a little emotional or melodramatic. This one is a bit different. The Canadian Institute for Diversity and Inclusion released a pro-gay ad today in response to Russia's ban on "gay propaganda" — and it's both hilarious and pointed. The ad shows a two-man luge team warming up and... well, you get the idea. You can watch the full spot, with its perfect song selection, in the video above.
And here's a somewhat different take on the same theme from director Daniel Jourdan, writer Adam Cohen and musician Michael Sousa:
This full-on musical spectacular features Russian soldiers and sailors trying their hardest to maintain a state free of "homosexual propaganda" — and failing miserably.
