Police nabbed thoroughly modern poker players cheating casinos in London when a casino manager noticed they were beating the odds too often. The three gamblers cheated the casinos out of more than (pounds) 250,000, the Daily Telegraphreported.
One person recorded the cards as they were dealt, using a micro-camera hidden in a sleeve or bag. The images were beamed to a second gang member waiting in a van outside the casino, who slowed the images down enough to identify the cards as they flew through the air.
He then instructed the third on how to bet.
The scam came undone when a casino manager figured losing only 10 out of 44 hands was unnatural odds.
