Or, here's an idea, maybe they want to do what they did when they introduced the iPhone and put the video of the keynote on their web site, in order to drive traffic to Apple.com.

Just a thought.

I have a couple of things to say.

First of all, when the iPhone was first introduced Apple put a video of Steve Jobs' keynote on their web site. Probably to draw more traffic to their site. People would be able to learn about the phone's specs and capabilities all in one space rather than random feeds from various bloggers all over the net.

And secondly, the announcement of the new phone was made at approx. 12:42, yet CBC has no updates on it. Hmm, I wonder if there even was a video, would CBC even care? Would you even take 2 seconds from your complaining about a 'lack of video of the speech' to post that the iPhone was released? Doubt it.

I only say this because there's an article entitled "Apple to unveil iPhone 2" yet there is no information after the iPhone was actually unveiled...CBC is, once again, too slow when they demand others to be quick.

"It looks like investors may be getting worried that nothing of substance is going to come of the much ballyhooed event."

Probably the same clueless investors who said Apple was going out of business 10 years ago.

[BTW, you should notify the equally clueless webmasters at CBC to fix their comments field so that it can relay a text feed from browsers other than MS Internet Explorer].

I'm not a rabid Apple fan, but it seems unreasonable to expect them to reinvent the wheel every time Steve Jobs opens his mouth.

They've released innovation over innovation. Some times it takes longer than 3 months to reinvent the wheel again, and that's OK. ;)
