Ed Sheeran s world tour has helped him to almost double his wealth over the past year to become the richest young British star.

The 28-year-old musician has topped Heat magazines annual guide to the UK and Irelands wealthiest stars aged 30 and under, having jumped from an estimated worth of 94 million in 2017 to 170 million.

The Shape Of You singer was in second place last year but has now overtaken Adele at the top of the list as she turned 31 in May.
