Irene Caselli is a multimedia freelance journalist with 14 years of experience in print and broadcasting. She has been reporting out of Latin America for the past decade and she is currently working on A Girls' Game, a project on women's football and gender inequality. She regularly reports for international media, such as BBC News, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Guardian and Monocle. She is a contributing editor to Index on Censorship. She was the BBC correspondent in Venezuela when Hugo Chavez died. She also worked for the BBC in Ecuador, as a reporter, and in London, as a producer.
