John Zipperer

John Zipperer is vice president of media & editorial at The Commonwealth Club of California and the producer and host of Week to Week, a lively news discussion program open to the public. Week to Week was born out of a desire to engage people in conversations about current affairs without the posturing and demonization so prevalent in our public discourse. That, and a fun news quiz.Before coming to The Commonwealth Club, John was executive editor of Internet World magazine, and he also held senior editorial positions with Hanley Wood and the CCIM Institute. A Wisconsin native, he has been working in the media since editing his high school paper. His media career survived his high school chemistry teacher calling him a communist (he wasn't), and he has since worked in print and online in business and commercial media outlets.
