Striving To Be The Black Carrie Bradshaw!

Tiffany Elle Burgess has been writing short stories, childrens stories, and poetry since she was 6 years old. As a child, her favorite writing spot was underneath the dining room table. Writing has always been her passion and she hopes to inspire others with her words. Ms. Burgess earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hampton University in 2001 and a Master of Public Health degree from Emory University in 2002. In August 2016, Ms. Burgess released her first children's book, "Skin Like Mine". "Skin Like Mine" was well received and featured in the February 2017 issue of Essence magazine. It can also be found on essence.com under "The Compact: 5 Bits of Beauty We're Obsessed With This Month" for January 2017. In Spring 2017, she and 2 fellow Hampton University alums formed Tyler Street Films. Their first short film, Flipped, was completed in March 2018 (www.flippedindiefilm.com).
