The Oscar winner suffered a "medical complication" last year that saw him hospitalized for a month.
"From the first time I saw you, I knew you were my forever," Foxx wrote of her new fianc on Instagram to celebrate the big news.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
The actor was equal parts earnest and hysterical in his first public speech since his hospitalization.
Foxx was sued earlier this week by a woman claiming he groped her at a New York restaurant in 2015.
The accusation follows numerous lawsuits accusing powerful men in the entertainment industry of sexually and physically abusing women.
The Oscar winner's family said in a statement in April that he had suffered a medical complication.

I went through something that I thought I would never go through," the Oscar winner said.
