The networks have announced 39 new series for the 2012-2013 TV season. Of those 39, only seven shows feature Latino actors, and only one show (NBC's quirky comedy "Animal Practice "), features a Latino actor (Cuban-American actress, JoAnna Garcia Swisher) in a lead role.
Given the lack of Latino talent in front of the camera on TV this fall, there's no question that this is "a disappointing television season for the Latino community ," as Janet Murguia, National Council of La Raza President, said in a recent blog for HuffPost.
So where can you catch Latino stars on TV this fall? On returning shows! From "Grey's Anatomy" to "Revenge" to "The Vampire Diaries" and "Dexter," Latinos are a part of just about every great primetime show that'll be back for another season in September.
