The month of December can sometimes seem like one never-ending conveyer belt of pigs-in-a-blanket and puff pastry petit fours. Even for the non-allergy set, the holiday season is a marathon, not a sprint. But for those of us who have to watch the wheat, we have to be even more conscious of the contents of our cocktail napkins.
While big beautiful roasts , with the meat taking center stage, don't seem to pose as much of a problem, holiday hors o'oeuvres are usually not very gluten-free friendly. And since most people tend to pop from party to party and load up on finger food in place of dinner, for gluten-free folks, this can be the culinary equivalent of coal in your stocking.
So I've put together some of my favorite gluten-free festive finger food to serve at your holiday gathering. You'll be doing your friends with dietary restrictions a solid by including a few of these items on your menu, and the rest of the crowd might enjoy a break from the mini hooded hot dogs in favor of these healthier bites.
