See The Magical Character Posters For 'Alice Through The Looking Glass'

The new character posters for "Alice Through The Looking Glass" are here -- and they're just as magical as you'd expect. 

Disney shared the images on the film's official Facebook page  Friday, following the release of the first official trailer last week . 

There's a poster for each of the main characters, including Alice (Mia Wasikowska), the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) and the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp). There's also a poster for the franchise's newest character, Time, who will be played by Sacha Baron Cohen.

In each of the images, the characters are seen holding a small golden ball called the chromosphere -- a device used for time travel. Producer Suzanne Todd explained to Entertainment Weekly that it's something "everyone wants, Alice needs it, but the Red Queen wants most of all."

The "Alice in Wonderland" sequel centers around Alice, who travels back in time to save an aging Mad Hatter and put an end to the Red Queen's reign of terror. 

"Alice Through the Looking Glass" hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
