Former Trump White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin explained how and why shes getting closer to voting for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, who she said is currently running a flawless presidential campaign.
Griffin, now a co-host on The View, acknowledged on Tuesdays broadcast of the show that shes a Republican and had never before voted for a Democrat.
But she said shed been listening to Harris to see how I could get there.
Harris is in 2024 running on issues closer to the center than she did in 2020 when Griffin confessed she couldnt have backed her, the former Trump aide said.
Griffin then drew a comparison between Harris shift in tone and her own after entering the Trump administration, when she described herself as being a lot more far right than now.
After receiving intelligence briefings and being a part of the government machine, Griffin said she realized, You are a public servant of all Americans and no one side has all the right, good ideas.
Asked if she would vote for Harris, Griffin said she was still a while out.
But she described Harris as running a flawless campaign.
Harris realizes the majority of this country is closer to the center, Donald Trump s too far right and too extreme for them and if she keeps running this way for the next 60 plus days, I think she can pull it off, Griffin added.
