Deputy Secretary Of State Recounts 'Tense' Environment In Iconic Situation Room Photo

On May 1, 2011, President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a number of national security advisors filed into the Situation Room to watch the raid that would eventually lead to Osama bin Laden's death unfold. While the team was gripped by the action before them, White House photographer Peter Souza snapped a now-iconic photo of the scene, revealing the candid expressions of some of the United States' top leaders.  

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who was there on that historic day, remembered the "incredibly tense" feeling that permeated the room in a conversation with HuffPost Live's Josh Zepps .
