As the latest twist in the Bruni-Sarkozy affair rumors saga, French pop singer Benjamin Biolay is suing news channel France 24 for broadcasting rumors that he was having an affair with Carla Bruni, AFP reports .

Biolay is seeking 20,000 euros in damages and a Parisian court was expected to hear the case today. His lawyer Isabelle Wekstein said, "Alluding to this hypothetical love affair was clearly a violation of Benjamin Biolay's private life."

Bruni said last week that she had "turned the page" and urged the media to do the same.
