MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes on Tuesday dissected Donald Trump s apparent struggle at least so far to launch an effective line of attack against his Democratic 2024 rival Kamala Harris .
All he wants to do is talk about Kamala Harris race, gender and identity, but thats really gross, and people dont like it, Hayes told Late Night host Seth Meyers of the GOP nominee.
Theres some part of him that understands its not the winning attack on her, Hayes continued. Trump really just wants to say that Harris is really dumb and a dumb Black woman over and over, Hayes added.
Its gross, and I think its offensive to folks, Hayes explained, and I think even people who dont necessarily consider themselves particularly dyed-in-the-wool progressives recognize it for what it is, and I do think it really has confounded him.
