CNN anchor Chris Wallace this weekend pushed back on a conservative guests bold assertion that Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance has not had one misstep during the 2024 presidential election campaign.
Rich Lowry, the editor-in-chief of the conservative National Review , acknowledged Vance had received a rocky introduction to national life following his joining of Donald Trump s ticket with the resurfacing of his controversial childless cat lady comments and the fact hes not necessarily the most warm and fuzzy campaigner.
But he is proven a tireless, fearless, really effective spokesman for this ticket, Lowry continued. He talks to and interacts with the press every single day, does hostile interviews, and, as far as I can tell, has not had one misstep.

After some back and forth between Wallace and Lowry, which saw Lowry defending Vances actions and comments as simply being part of Trumps campaign, Wallace predicted: Its going to be a long two months.
