Chuck Schumer Dares Trump To Dump JD Vance Before It's Too Late

The Senate majority leader called Trump's vice president pick "one of the best things he ever did for Democrats."

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) thinks the clock may be ticking on Sen. JD Vance s (R-Ohio) time as Donald Trumps running mate.

While appearing on CBS Face the Nation on Sunday, the Senate majority leader tried to imagine what Trump is thinking about his pick for his Republican vice president candidate and the growing list of strange scandals that have emerged since Vance was announced at the Republican National Convention earlier this month.

Donald Trump, I know him, and hes probably sitting and watching the TV, and every day, it comes out [that] Vance has done something more extreme, more weird, more erratic, Schumer said.

Vance seems to be more erratic and more extreme than President Trump, he continued. And Ill bet President Trump is sitting there, scratching his head and wondering, Why did I pick this guy? The choice may be one of the best things he ever did for Democrats .

Schumer then reminded Trump it wasnt too late to rethink his vice presidential pick, who has recently come under fire for attacking Americans without children , bizarrely joking that liberals think Diet Mountain Dew is racist and having to contend with unhinged and unfounded rumors about having carnal relations with a couch .

Now the president has about 10 days before the Ohio ballot is locked in, and he has a choice: does he keep Vance on the ticket, where he already has a whole lot of baggage hes probably going to be more baggage over the weeks because well hear more things about him or does he pick someone new? Its his choice.
