Claire Danes won big at the Golden Globes 2013, taking home the award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her performance on "Homeland." The actress beat out "Downton Abbey" star Michelle Dockery, Julianna Margulies for "The Good Wife," Connie Britton for her work in "Nashville" and Glenn Close for "Damages."

"I have to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press for being so insanely generous towards me for so many years now," Danes said upon receiving the award. "I wanna thank the other women in this category who are so badass, so brilliant, and have all in their own way contributed to making television this wonderfully rich place for really dynamic, complex, bold female characters."

Danes won the award last year, also for "Homeland. Co-star Lewis won his first Golden Globe for his role as Nicolas Brody, and the series scored its second consecutive Globe for Best Drama.

The 70th Annual Golden Globes were hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
