Dave Grohl Announces He's Fathered A Child Outside Of His Marriage

The Foo Fighters frontman has been married to wife Jordyn Blum for 21 years.

Dave Grohl  says he has fathered a child with a woman who is not his wife.

The Foo Fighters frontman shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday, writing, Ive recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness, the message went on. Were grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.

Grohls statement did not include any additional details about his new daughter or her mother.

Representatives for Grohl declined to comment further to HuffPost.

The former drummer for Nirvana is already the father of three: daughters Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10.

He has been married to Jordyn Blum, their mother, since 2003. The couples last public appearance was at Wimbledon in London in July.

Prior to marrying Blum, the Everlong rocker was wed to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997.

While Grohl rarely speaks about his family, he talked about being a father in a now-archived 2009 Q&A with Time magazine.

During the conversation, which was captured in an article by People , Grohl said that parenthood had changed everything that I do.

When you have kids, you see life through different eyes, the musician continued. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate.
