A Tennessee man wanted for suspected murder was captured by U.S. marshals Monday after he crashed through the ceiling from a homes attic where he was hiding, ending a monthslong manhunt, authorities said.

Deario Wilkerson, 20, was taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon after the officers tracked him down to the Memphis property, the U.S. Marshals Service said in a release.

Wilkerson was not injured in the fall and was taken into custody without further incident, authorities said.
