When the weather warms up we know it means a number of things. The days will slowly become longer and longer, making the evenings easier to enjoy; many casual gatherings with friends and families are to be had; and we'll eat dips, lots and lots of dips. There's no better type of dish to turn to when you want to sit back with your loved ones. They require very little cooking (it will soon be too hot to turn on those ovens anyway); and they can often times be made days in advance, allowing you to relax and enjoy the people and food around you.
