Duchess Kate has officially made her return to work, and the only person happier about it than her fans is, well, herself.

Clad in a houndstooth Ralph Lauren dress (which as of 9 a.m. ET is still not sold out!) and that now-famous new fringe , on Thursday the duchess made her first solo public appearance since giving birth to Princess Charlotte . She visited the Anna Freud Center , which sponsors a family school and works with children and families experiencing mental health issues, a topic a close to the duchess' heart .

She spent time with children enrolled in the school, saw plans for an upcoming community center and even had some hands-on experience at the school's interactive learning stations.

Perhaps that's why she's so happy.
