'Modern Family' Wins Best Comedy At Emmys 2012

'Modern Family' has won the Emmy for Best Comedy Series.

'Modern Family' beat out CBS' "The Big Bang Theory," HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," HBO's "Girls," NBC's "30 Rock" and HBO's "Veep." This is the ABC series' second win in the Outstanding Comedy series category.

The show's stars Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen also took home awards in the Outstanding Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series categories, and director Steve Levitan won for Best Director in a Comedy Series.

"We feel so lucky not only to have jobs in these talented times, but to have jobs we love with people we love," Levitan said in his acceptance speech. "Thank you to all of our friends."
