Fake Eyelashes Video Teaches This Beauty Novice How To Get Some Serious Flutter (VIDEO)

Is Applying Fake Eyelashes Really That Easy?
|

Given my limited skill set in the makeup department , I am constantly searching for quick and easy ways to update my look. Fake eyelashes always seem like they would be a cinch to put on, while providing a dramatic effect. But the thought of getting it all wrong and looking like I have spiders dangling from my lids made them sort of intimidating. Yet, I figured, why not give them a go?

After scouring YouTube, I picked this tutorial that showed me how to easily apply my own fake lashes . I decided on Leesha's video for a number of reasons. I did a little research and it turns out she runs her own beauty site called xSparkage.com where she reviews products, gives tutorials and suggests different makeup looks. (In other words, the girl's got credibility.) Her video was also one of the most viewed on YouTube and had tons of positive comments.

The Tutorial:

Pros: The video was extremely detailed and gave the viewer tips above and beyond what was necessary. For example, she gives you tricks on how to get your fake lashes to last with multiple uses. (I'm just trying to make it through one use.)

Cons: The video was long -- over six minutes -- so a little condensing would have been nice.

Final result:

Difficulty: Easy. Getting the fake eyelashes in the right spot on your eyelid may be a bit of a challenge, but once you get the hang of it, the rest of the process is a breeze.
