Kurt Cobain will forever be sketched in our minds as the 20-something Nirvana frontman who pioneered the 90s grunge era. Its hard to imagine what Cobain, who died at age 27 in 1994, would have looked like today Feb. 20, 2017 on what would have been his 50th birthday.

Many tributes poured in across social media on Monday to honor the late singer, but one in particular stood out.

His 24-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain , wrote a heartfelt handwritten note and posted it on Instagram.
