Georgia Jagger's Teeth Are What Makes Her 'Human,' Model Says

Georgia May Jagger: My Teeth Are A Part Of What Makes Me 'Human'

The fashion world can get pretty bogged down by perfectionism, with models becoming increasingly thinner, younger and more homogenous. Georgia May Jagger may be thin and young, but her unique look -- and perspective on that look -- are a refreshing jolt to the modeling industry.

The 21-year-old gets candid in the latest issue of Net-a-Porter's The Edit, sounding off on the impossible beauty ideals models have come to represent. Despite the fact that she's carved out a successful career fronting campaigns for the likes of Rimmel and Macy's, Georgia says she still faces criticism for her signature gap-toothed grin:

"There have been some interesting debates about my teeth on Instagram. When 12-year-olds tell you to go get braces and then someone answers, 'Don't tell her what to do', that's really sweet. There's this whole idea of perfection [in modeling]. What younger girls don't realize is that these girls do have problems. It's good for people to realize everyone is human. I still worry I'm going to look weird as I get older. I'll be a weird old woman with scary teeth."

It's reassuring that for all the "thinspo" and "thigh gap" talk floating around online, there are positive messages being sent. Plus, if anyone's going to rise to the top championing individuality, it's Georgia. She's pretty fearless when it comes to style , and she's managed to transcend the fashion world and land more mainstream modeling gigs . It doesn't hurt that her parents are Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, either.

What do you think of Georgia's stance? Do you think models are too seemingly "perfect" these days?

Isn't she gorgeous?
