This short video offers some much-needed perspective.

"Home, the video featured above, is a reminder that the space we inhabit extends beyond our house, neighborhood, country or even continent -- and its up to us to take care of it. The video will kick off the Global Citizen Festival, a concert taking place on Sept. 26 in New York that aims to fight global poverty.

The two-and-a-half minute clip, directed by Mark Grimmer and produced by Richard Curtis, raises awareness for the United Nations Global Goals , tackling issues ranging from climate change to empowering women and girls.

To drive home its point, the video features a view of Earth from the moon. The clip offers us a zoomed-in perspective of our individual houses, and then shows us our collective home -- Earth -- from space.

The video features the voice of Frank Borman from the Apollo 8 mission in 1968. Describing the view from the moon, he states: All those differences and nationalistic traits are pretty well going to blend. And you're going to get a concept that maybe this is one world.
