All eyes are on the Hawkeye State as candidates competing for the Republican presidential nomination campaign for support ahead of the 2012 Iowa caucuses.

The competition in Iowa has proven unpredictable with different contenders rising to the top over the course of the primary season. Polls show former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) running at the front of the primary pack ahead of caucus day.
