President Trump tweeted today that TIME magazine contacted him earlier, to inform him that they wanted to make him TIMEs Person of the Year.

Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named Man (Person) of the Year, like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

But, Trump informs us, he declined becoming TIMEs person of the year, on account of a major photo shoot, which would be too time-consuming (I guess the forty-fifth President needs all the time in the world to tweet and try out his new 9-iron.)

Theres a problem with Trumps statement, howeverjust like how theres a problem with ninety-nine percent of everything the man ever says and tweets.

TIME magazines official Twitter page, just a few minutes ago, contradicted Trumps statement:

The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.

I find it worrisome that the President of the United States feels compelled to lie about such a thing. And what I find fascinating is that hes too myopic to foresee the fodder hes giving his own critics in both major political parties to use against him.

Doesnt the President understand that you cant just lie about anything and everything under the sun? Doesnt he understand how bad hes making himself look?

Apparently not.

Donald Trump has been unusually obsessed with his face being on TIME magazine covers. The Washington Post, back in May, had this to say on the matter about a cover of TIME magazine showcased at all of Mr. Trumps golf clubs:

This cover dated March 1, 2009 looks like an impressive memento from Trumps pre-presidential career. To club members eating lunch, or golfers waiting for a pro-shop purchase, it seemed to be a signal that Trump had always been a man who mattered. Even when he was just a reality TV star, Trump was the kind of star who got a cover story in Time... but that wasnt true...the TIME cover is a fake.

With TIME magazines very own statement taken as corroboration, as well as Trumps own freakish behavior of creating fake issues of TIME Magazine and superimposing his pictures over them, I believe its safe to say Donald Trump is lying to us once again.

But why is he lying? Is the 45 President of the United States simply a congenital liar, one whose whoppers would put even Richard M. Nixons and Dick Cheneys to shame? Or does it run much deeper than this?

I believe personally the President suffers from delusions of grandeur; that he has such an unreasonably and delusional high perception of himself that he simply cannot come to grips with any criticisms made against him. And if hes not TIMES next Man of the Year then, as a defense mechanism, he simply shrugs it all off, he lies. Sorry folks. I took a pass. But thanks anyway!

Ill leave it up to psychologists and psychiatrists to identify the Presidents mental malfunction. But even without a medical degree on my wall, just taking in the mans behavior these past two years, I believe Im qualified to say whats been on the mind of every sane and rational person on the planet.

President Donald J. Trump is not playing with a full deck of cards.
