For the second year in a row, ABC News' Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper has won the White House Correspondents' Association Merriman Smith Award in the broadcast category. Tapper is being honored for the story he reported last May that revealed that Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair was about to be asked by the President to resign. Tapper first broke the news on his blog on ABCNews.com and later reported it on "World News with Diane Sawyer."
