But we're not going to let him ruin Common Projects for us.
Despite a borderline obsession with his father-in-law (which recently manifested itself in the form of a bizarre, Trump-ish new hair style ), Jared Kushner still can't help but be a young-ish New Yorker with young-ish New Yorker guy style. His suits are slim, as are his ties, and in general he dresses like your average Manhattanite rich kid bro. But recently we actually saw eye-to-eye with the guy if only for a fleeting moment when Kushner embraced one of our favorite sneakersCommon Projects Achilles Lows.
Specifically, Jared Kushner wore the Common Projects Achilles Retro Low , a silhouette that differs every slightly from the regular Achilles thanks to a gray back tab in place of the typical all-white design. They're still a clean, made-in-Italy sneaker that can we worn with anything. So we can't in good conscience recommend anyone not wear them, even a guy that potentially committed a serious crime by attempting to create a secret communications backchannel with the Russian government. The fact is, they look great as most Common Projects sneakers do. Not even a potentially treasonous asshat/alleged slum lord can ruin that.
Ultimately, despite his penchant for slim trousers, wayfarers, and designer kicks, Jared Kushner still doesn't bring anything to table style-wise that we would really ever recommend replicating. (And for the record no one should ever wear a bulletproof vest over their suit.) At the end of the day, we have nothing against $400 sneakers in general. However, there's really nothing lamer than wearing $400 sneakers that you bought with daddy's money/the money you allegedly make by suing poor tenants of your Baltimore properties.
