Jose Antonio Vargas, a filmmaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who publicly came out as an undocumented immigrant in 2011, has a message about the shifting demographics of the United States: "The people who we think are the minority [are] actually now the new majority." In the video above, watch Vargas explain why we need to take control of our own narratives and "tell our stories" as people of all different races, sexualities and religions to ensure others stop speaking for us.
