Harris 'Ready' To Debate Trump, Accuses Him Of 'Backpedaling'

Vice President Kamala Harris said Thursday shes ready to debate Donald Trump in September and accused him of laying the groundwork to get out of it.

I am ready to debate Donald Trump, she told a gaggle of reporters after landing at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

I have agreed to the previously agreed-upon Sept. 10 debate. He agreed to that previously. Now it appears hes backpedaling, but Im ready, she said. I think the voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on a debate stage.

This is the first time Harris, now the Democrats presumed nominee for president, has confirmed her participation in the debate on ABC News, which was scheduled when Joe Biden was still the presumptive nominee.

On Sunday, when Biden ended his campaign and endorsed Harris, an irate Trump took issue with the debate hed agreed to months ago.

Now that Joe has, not surprisingly, has quit the race, I think the Debate, with whomever the Radical Left Democrats choose, should be held on FoxNews, rather than very biased ABC, Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. Thank you!

He said earlier this week he absolutely wants to debate Harris but then returned to bashing ABC News, calling it among the absolute WORST in the business.

ABC, the home of George Slopadopolus, is not worthy of holding a Debate, of which I hope there will be many! he said, using an insult to refer to the network host George Stephanopoulos.

Fox News on Wednesday proposed a Sept. 17 debate.
