Thriftiness is so hot right now.
Just yesterday, Michelle Obama repeated her favorite floral Tracy Feith dress at a Memorial Day service for pretty much the umpteenth time.
And on Tuesday, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, recycled a look. They're just like us!
Duchess Kate headed to a Diamond Jubilee garden party at Buckingham Palace with 8,000 guests with her father-in-law Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla on Monday; the queen, of course, was there as well. (Will got held up at work.) Camilla went all-white -- it is after Memorial Day in America, after all -- and donned a feathery white fascinator, but Kate opted for a more demure look in a light pink dress.
Wait a sec. The pink frock Catherine wore looks a wee bit familiar, and in fact, we saw it just two weeks ago (gasp!), when she wore the 1,200 Emilia Wickstead pleated dress to the Monarch's Jubilee lunch at Windsor Castle and met another of our fave royals, Princess Charlene.
The big difference? Kate's accessories. While she played down her look at the sovereign monarchs lunch with simple hair and nude pumps, Kate switched into full-on princess mode for the garden fete, choosing a festive pink hat. (And why shouldn't she? A Buckingham Palace garden party is pretty much the most princess-y event ever.)
Do you think she got her dress dry-cleaned in between? If she didn't, well, then she's even more "just like us."
