It appears that one of reality televisions leading ladies is pivoting toward acting. Kim Kardashian was recently announced as the star in Ryan Murphys upcoming legal drama, Alls Fair.

The Kardashian family is known for the glamorous lives they portray on screen, but now theyre expanding into Hollywood. The Skims founder has ventured into acting before, debuting in Tyler Perrys Temptation with a small role as Ava. Her breakout role came in the Season 12 of Murphys American Horror Story, which premiered in September. Now, the mother of four is stepping into the ring alongside acting heavyweights like Halle Berry and Glenn Close.

Alls Fair is described as a high-end, glossy and sexy adult procedural and features Kardashian as a Los Angeles-based divorce attorney who leads an all-female law firm. Details on the series storyline are sparse, but Kardashians role promises to be significant.

Kris Jenner has been working overtime as her daughters manager. Kardashian is set to star in an upcoming Netflix film, The Fifth Wheel , in which she plays the titular role though specifics about the movie are mostly under wraps for now.

Social media has weighed in on Kardashians new venture, and opinions are mixed.

It seems fans want Kardashian to earn her spot as an actor before landing major roles alongside industry veterans. Many were surprised to see her sitting with seasoned actors in Varietys Actors on Actors series, where she chatted with Big Love star Chlo Sevigny.

While I support individuals exploring new opportunities and securing their success, I believe its important to respect the journey of actors who have dedicated time and effort to hone their craft.

Reality television can indeed provide a platform for broader visibility and opportunities. Yet, there are countless trained actors who aspire to share the screen with icons like Berry and Close and other talented stars.

It does seem her fame has opened doors that others might find harder to access without as much prior validation in acting. Its a perspective worth considering.
