Dustin Hoffman played hilariously evil in the Disney Peter Pan live action sequel, "Hook." In this teaser for his new project, he's just downright scary.
The Oscar-winner is the latest big star to make the move to prestige TV, taking a leading role in HBO's upcoming horse gambling drama, "Luck." He plays Ace Bernstein, a convicted mobster fresh out of the pen and looking to get back in the ponies game. From the first look, he doesn't seem to be a man of even temperament.
Nick Nolte, an Oscar-nominee himself and who just recently returned from the brink with a dazzling turn in "Warrior," plays a horse trainer in the series, which is written by "Deadwood" scribe David Milch and directed and executive produced by Michael Mann, a four time Oscar-nominee best known for "The Insider," "The Last of the Mohicans" and "Public Enemies."
The show is due out in 2012.
