Much like magpies, we tend to gravitate toward shiny things, which is why weve been loving the latest wave of glittery, shimmery, and metallic beauty products. Weve seen the light-reflecting material pop up in hair dyes and eyeshadows, but now the trend is shifting to your base. Behold: metallic foundations.

These dazzling liquids were first spotted when makeup artists recently tested them backstage at Fashion Week, Sugarscape reports . So far, details remain mysterious around the precious bottles, but judging from a single snapchat, we were able to glean a few details. First, the formula seems to be an upgraded version of the brands beloved Face and Body foundation , which has long been a backstage favorite thanks to its satin finish and featherweight feel. The new editions look like hybrids between metallic strobing creams and liquid foundations, resulting in a liquid that has need this now written all over it.

#SeenBackstage!!, wrote MAC senior makeup artist Dominic Skinner on his Instagram sneak preview. #NEW #ProductWatch - #MAC #FaceAndBodyFX in #JustAHint and #MillionDollarBling [] I'm in #Love!! This #Iconic #Backstage favourite has the most expensive looking [glow] built in with the same skin like coverage. #COMINGSOON!! The shades he showed were a neutral gold and coppery bronze, and they both look amazing for Halloween, holidays, and any occasion that calls for extra glow. Well be keeping our eyes on this one for sure!
