Mary Trump on Wednesday praised Vice President Kamala Harris for inflicting what she described as a narcissistic injury on her uncle, Donald Trump , during the opening minutes of Tuesdays presidential debate.
Democratic nominee Harris way of getting under her Republican opponents skin just made him unravel, the former presidents niece told CNN s Anderson Cooper .
He couldnt recover and, honestly, hes not going to, she added.
Harris so brilliantly gave both substantive answers to questions to help the American people get to know her better and what shes going to do for our country while going straight at Donalds vulnerabilities, continued Mary Trump, who is a vocal and frequent critic of her relative.
Cooper read a paragraph from Mary Trumps new book, Who Could Ever Love You, in which she detailed her uncle, as a child, being a thin-skinned bully who beat up on younger kids but ran home in a fit of rage as soon as somebody stood up to him.
That is one of the most damning and dangerous things about Donald Trump and that is one of the things that makes him most unfit. Hes never evolved from that. Thats still who he is, Mary Trump told Cooper.
